BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING MANAGER FOR NEW GROUND-BREAKING PROJECT
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns for our premium brand clients and Ad Sales, often times ‘never been done before’ custom programs.
- Serve as liaison between clients and various departments (Ad Sales, Creative, Programming, Production, Press, Ancillary Business, etc) to ensure successful implementation of sponsorship programs, by meeting brand objectives, while maintaining the integrity of the Company’s brand.
- Oversee and work closely with site teams, sales, talent, digital production and original video production to build sponsorship opportunities with existing franchises in addition to creating new opportunities to take to market.
- Work with sales teams, Integrated Marketing counterparts, Fusion and New Business Development to conceive, write and present digital marketing opportunities to key partners.
- Present marketing concepts to key client and agency contacts.
- Regular communication with clients and agencies to collaborate on program implementation and report status.
- Provide career guidance, leadership, performance reviews and feedback to staff
- Attend and report on key meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and agency contacts
- Attend key Markets and Media conferences to push our programs
- Develop new business plans and funding proposals for new media projects and new IP development for the company
- Minimum 5 years experience in marketing or Ad Sales/Sales Support experience, working with a variety of major advertising brands
- Significant experience and understanding of the digital media landscape; added bonus for individuals with traditional media planning experience/knowledge
- Must have strong understanding of the general media and entertainment landscape
- Must have strong understanding of Public Relations
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills

Communications Manager
The communications manager is accountable for all of Refinery Media’s day-to-day deliverables of communications to media, growth of existing relations and new business development opportunities with media.
Key Functions
- Manage and oversee all day-to-day operations of Refinery Media’s corporate and consumer media releases and build a strong working relationship with media
- Monitor the development of project plans and company-related events
- Be proactive, suggesting new concepts and improvements to provide added value
- Identify opportunities within Refinery Media’s output and new business prospects, working with the executive producer and integrated marketing head on pitches, proposals and presentation
- Lead and develop direct reports to optimize utilization of team members to enable achievement of business plan
- Exhibit and reinforce the professional values and policies of Refinery Media
- Ability to churn and vet quality market standard press releases
- Ability to identify and pitch successful press releases to the media on all platforms
Essential Skills/Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years practice with either internal or agency experience (tertiary qualifications in the relevant field of study, preferably PR, Communications, Marketing)
- Existing relationship with media on all platforms (print, online, bloggers, consumer and trade)
- A team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills at all levels
- Solid understanding of client services and business environment (including contracts)
- Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to multitask
- Good financial skills, understanding pricing models, quotations

Responsibilities
- Able to speak and write Mandarin fluently
