We are looking to develop “Twinterns” who will get involved in all aspects of our Social Media strategies for our Clients.
This job is an exciting entry-level position to get involved with a wide range of Projects from Fashion to Lifestyle to Media

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect and share insights and experiences while working for Refinery Studio through social and interactive media: Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, New and emerging media
  • Twintern will be given unprecedented access to marketing meetings, brainstorming sessions, production and special events
  • Monitor social media for pop culture news, off-the-wall stories or anything else quirky and fun that he or she thinks would be of interest to our Clients
  • Must have a deep passion for Social Media and spend much time on the internet. Those that already Blog and Twitter is a big bonus
  • You will undergo training from a Social Media Expert

After completing a successful 12 week internship, there is an opportunity for the company to transition you to a full time paid position.

Digital Strategist

Job Description

  • Report directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with clients of the Company
  • Main responsibility of your role is to develop robust digital strategies and build strong strategic relationships with clients that strengthen the company’s position.
  • Develop brand platforms and social media strategies
  • Provide social media counsel to media programs, offer creative thinking to existing social media work, identify and train staff on social media tools, and to provide direction for new business opportunities
  • Develop and execute branding campaigns for consumer clients, while maintaining a supportive work culture for the team
  • Keep up to date in trends in public relations and emerging media
  • Developing and executing public relations campaigns with a digital emphasis for the Company’s clients
  • Proven understanding of print and broadcast media and where social media intersects
  • Ability to translate trends, technologies and metrics into conversational English
  • Experienced client counselor, relationship manager and account manager
  • Flexibility to be a hands-on team player adding value, creating strategies, programs and instructional guidance to all levels and teams;
  • Familiarity at building and presenting concepts/programs for clients and new business opportunities and;
  • Have deep professional experience in emerging media, with a clear understanding on how to apply tools and technology to client work, including but not limited to:

Digital Content Producer

Overview of Job Function
The Digital Content producer/editor creates unique video content for Refinery Media’s various sections and various digital platforms with an emphasis on distinctive digital storytelling. They must have the ability to execute all aspects of digital video production including: conceptualization of story concepts and ideas, field production, video shooting and editing, writing and publishing.

They will also be primarily responsible for the look, feel, and tone of the overall content. This includes shot composition, graphics and effects creation as well as working with music as called for within pieces. The producer will work closely on projects with other producers, writers, reporters, associate producers, editors, and graphic artists. The candidate must be able to plan and organize field shoots and act as field producer on various projects. Responsible for following new production techniques, tools, and trends and for mentoring and potentially training some of the junior production staff members and non-video personnel.

Responsible for overseeing the entire life cycle of digital project execution; ensuring deliverables are on time, on budget, and on brand. Orchestrates the project team, reviews deliverables for quality, and maintains ongoing dialogue with account teams and clients to ensure mutual satisfaction with progress towards project goals.

Candidate must have the ability and experience to develop and execute comprehensive project plans that include meeting delivery and budget milestones, requirements documentation, messaging/strategy, content development, information architecture, design, software development and quality assurance processes.

Core Project Management Responsibilities

  • Act as primary point of contact on digital projects overseeing and managing all design and development activities for the entire project life cycle
  • Lead the development of all project documentation, including budget, schedule, creative brief and functional specification(s)
  • Oversee the daily development and tracking of integrated project plans
  • Identify and manage project issues to successful resolution
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure all deliverables meet established quality, technical, strategic and usability standards/benchmarks
  • Assess and manage risk to support optimal client service and satisfaction
  • Apply best practices and integrate lessons learned from previous projects to continually refine and improve our process
  • Partner with Digital Leadership team to staff projects effectively
  • Partner with new business team to provide or validate budget, scope and timelines in client proposals
  • Manage third-party partner and/or vendor relationships, as necessary

Leadership and Communication Responsibilities

  • Clarify and communicate project objectives and success criteria
  • Convey project vision and objectives to team members, providing day-to-day direction, and inspiring peak performance at both individual and collective levels
  • Communicate with team members to ensure clear understanding of individual project roles and responsibilities
  • Interface with internal teams, account teams and clients to manage expectations and resolve potential issues
  • Alert appropriate individuals on internal, account and client teams to changes in schedule, scope, or potential risks
  • Coach project team members to support peak performance and career development, as appropriate

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of digital strategies that tell coherent stories and achieve client objectives
  • Translate digital strategies into appropriate tactics given project goals, budget, and timing

Media Sales Manager

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing of new clientele for sponsorship of content produced by Refinery Media
  • Establish and cultivate key partnerships with existing clientele
  • Account management as well as work closely with clients to activate their sponsorship
  • Liaison between direct clients and media agencies
  • Seek online advertisers

KPIs

  • Number of new partnerships entered into
  • Number of sponsors for programmes

  • An individual who has good relationships with clientele in the lifestyle industry as well as any other industries
  • Good in sales and has a successful record of closure
  • Self driven
  • A team player who is hands on and is able to work in a team

Producer

Job Description

  • Reading, researching and assessing ideas and finished scripts;
  • Commissioning writers, production team (if need be)
  • Planning and conceptualizing, with the CEO for all work scoped assigned
  • Experience with long form
  • To advise the Organisation and relevant parties involved, on licensing, licensing costs and rights of used content
  • To advise the Organisation of Awards, ceremonies of content developed by the Organisation that should be submitted for exposure
  • Building and developing a network of contacts relevant for projects
  • Liaising and discussing projects with financial backers on production issues;
  • Budgeting with agreed budget for each project.
  • Controlling the budget and allocating resources
  • Scheduling of all jobs as per agreed with team
  • Hiring of key staff, including crew to shoot films
  • Pulling together all the strands of creative and practical talent involved in the project to create a team;
  • Maintaining contemporary technical skills;
  • Organising shooting schedules – availability of support staff;
  • Supervising the progress of the project from production to post , photographers, talents, crew etc.
  • Holding regular meetings with the director to discuss characters and scenes
  • Acting as a sounding board between the Executive Producer and Director
  • Bringing the finished production in on budget, on schedule
  • To stay current with Digital trends, social networking
